Target Low Tox Personal Care Items

We did target baby products, so let's move on to womens personal care items and what I found in my own store.

Makeup

My target had a full on w3ll people section. I love to see it. Great makeup option I would buy!

Makeup remover wipes

Ditch the neutrogena ones! Honest makeup remover facial wipes are a much better swap!

Shampoo + conditioner

My target honestly had no amazing options in this category. However, if it was me, I would grab native if I needed something. Yes, they use synthetic and natural fragrances that are phthalate free.

I think this is the best in store option at my store.

Face wash

I was able to find acure, cocokind, and honest as solid lower tox face washes

Makeup & skincare

Honest is a pretty good option and my store had a full on display... However... it was out of like everything. If you need a good hand sanitizer in store, I'd also grab honest.

Skincare

Cocokind offered a ton of great face moisturizers, eye creams, toner and spf. This is a solid in store better option brand. Oh and serums.

Acne/face patches

Mighty patch, alba botanticals and rael all had better choice options.

Face cleanser

I also randomly found Rael Beauty Miracle Clear on an end cap. It was a good face cleanser option.

Leave in conditioner and body lotion

The honest leave in conditioner and detangler has been my ride or die for years. I love it. I also would again recommend their body lotion or pipettes body lotion if you need something in store. My store had zero other options in store.

Hair oil

Only hair smoothing oil I could find was shea moisture.

Deodorant

I was surprised to find playpits, didn't know they carried it. I would pick this one up if it was me. Otherwise, native unscented - if they don't have unscented I would go with another native option (but remembering what I said in the shampoo section).

Body wash

Okay, if it was me - I would personally go buy pipette or honest baby washes and use on my self. I like their ingredients better than any in store women's options I found. Honey pot and shea moisture were okay body washes but all had undisclosed fragrance. Native, same applies as the shampoo description.

Period care

I think the rael brand was the best I found, and I like them! Saalt cups and period panties were also in stock and better options. I'd personally be okay using honey pot and Cora if I needed something in store too!

Razors

When it comes to razors, my best advice is to find one without the moisture strip, bar across the top. Or remove it before use.

SPF

Cocokind, badger, native unscented, pipette and some thinkbaby were great picks that I found. (Thinkbaby it just depends which product)

Also, someone got big mad in my other target post saying I was a target affiliate and in some Target conspiracy... yall, I don't affiliate or promote Target or get any money from them. This is me going around to local stores, in a series, to find what better options exist. That's it.

Where you spend your dollar is totally your choice! I am just picking stores to show you what else is out there because it doesn't always make sense to order everything online

Hope this helps!
