Walmart Low-er Tox Baby Items

Please remember, this is better options that I found at my specific store - this isn't every cleaner brand Walmart has, this is only what my store had in stock.

Please also remember, everyone is on a different stage of this journey, with different budgets and needs. Some people prefer to shop in store because let's be honest, shipping everything can add up. And some people only have access to certain stores in their area (ie I had to driveeeeeee to go to target to do my Target series, I don't live right by one). And unfortunately, you may passionately not wish to spend your money at these stores for many reasons, and I respect that and your convictions, but I can't account for everyone's specific stances in these posts - I'm happy to give you free insight to lower tox options at stores but as the consumer it's important for you to also know who you're giving your money to.

Trying to hit as many stores as I can so you guys can have better idea of what you can pick up at your store.

Anyway, let’s dive right in!

Pedialyte

My store had organic pedialyte, organic parents choice and kinderlyte. These are all a great step in the right direction but are not perfect. I would still be okay using in a pinch.

Snack Bars

I found cerebelly, yumi, and once upon a farm snack bars for babies/ toddlers. All are a better in store option.

Sunscreen + Bug Spray

Hello bello had better in store options for both.

Clothing

My store doesn't carry any organic brands, but many stores do. If yours doesn't, I'd look for PJs with the bright yellow tag and shoot for 100% cotton.

Diaper Cream

Honest had the only better in store option. My store was out of Hello Bello which I would also buy.

Diapers + Wipes

My store had these better options:

  • dyper

  • hello bello

  • rascal and friends

  • honest

Are they the best and cleanest diapers on the market? No. But they are better choices that I would grab if I needed to and I wouldn't be concerned

Baby Wash + Lotions

Honest and Hello Bello have the best in store options that I’ve found

Toys

Pretty much every Melissa and Doug toy was at my store.

Everything from baby to toddler. I also found the newer Fischer price wood toy line.

Pouches

Serenity kids, cerebelly, petter rabbit and ready set food all had better choices. Ready set food did include citric acid in some options, since I don't know the source I want you to just be aware.

Feeding

Itzy ritzy had a number of products at my store - chew toys, feeding and pacifiers.

Car Seats

All the chicco clear tex line checks out. My store had every type of clear tex car seat. I use their booster for my oldest.

Blankets + Bedding

I found no organic options but did find a lot of 100% cotton options and many have oeko tex certifications.

Perfect? No. But it's a great step! I don't use all organic everything either.

Supplements

Hylands and boiron had so many baby supplements available at my store and Hylands was all on major sale. The best chest rub I found was zarbees.

Baby Carriers

I was shocked to see babybjorn in Walmart. Great low tox brand and option.

Bottles

My store had Phillips avent glass and Dr Browns glass. They also had comotomo silicone and boon silicone.

Puffs

Lesser evil had a ton of puff options in the baby section. I actually grabbed one of these for my little to try!

Formula

My store was out of better formula choices. The best in store choice I found was Earth's Best Organic.

Is this list 1000% non toxic? No. Quite literally nothing is and everyone will find something wrong with everything at this point. But these are better options and tbh, I'm over living in fear of everything. I just want to help people make safer swaps as it makes sense to them and their budget. And throwing the fear out the window.
