My FAVORITE Target Low-er Tox Baby Items
I’ve previously done a post on Target Lower Tox Baby Items that gave several options for categories, but I’m constantly being asked “which one do you use?!” so here we go! Below are my personal favorites and what I often grab for my own kids if I need an in store option.
Diapers
I have tried virtually every single low Tox baby diaper on the market, and IMO, factoring coat and performance - I think parasol is the best bang for your buck at Target. You can get them as low as .34 cents/diaper which is much less than kudos, healthy baby etc.
Wipes
When it comes to the best performance and price point.. honest or parasol all day. Sure, I have my own personal favorite low Tox wipes but when I want an in store option the .05 cents/wipe price tag is so much more reasonable - though I have once found kudos for the same price but not always.
Diaper Cream
Yall I love Honest Sensitive diaper cream and have for all 3 of my kids. If you need something in a tube (not glass jar), this has been so great at cleaning up even the nastiest diaper rashes for my NICU baby (while he was still in the hospital). You can get it for around $10 or the spray for $6.
Sanitizing Wipes
If you need a quick lower tox on the go wipe to sanitize, I love the Honest sanitizing wipes. I typically always wipe down a high chair, shopping cart, etc when we are out with the baby and these are so convenient.
Stroller
Mockingbird is a great lower tox option that is pretty affordable. It's roughly $395 compared to the Uppababy at $900 - and it looks virtually the same.
Car seat
Chicco Cleartex line!
This is seriously such an affordable lower tox baby line! They have great infant, convertible and booster options! We use this line for our booster seat!
Formula
There is no perfect formula on the market - you have to weigh the pros and cons to each! I personally like the Kendamil goat and bubs goat line overall but would also do the cows milk version of each too! I have several blog posts on formula. If you want to look at my opinions on ingredients for popular formula brands in each category, you can find that here.
Baby Wash
The pipette baby wash and lotion is so solid - the baby wash comes out to $0.83/fluid oz vs the honest at $1.25/ fluid oz.
Organic clothing
Typically I prioritize 100% cotton baby clothes - organic cotton is usually pricey but very often the carters little planet line and the Burt's bees organic line has clearanced out items at target. I have gotten so many Burt's bees pjs for cheap!
Laundry
Okay, hear me out, baby laundry detergent is a marketing scam. A solid low tox laundry detergent should be safe for the entire family. Though, the brand Healthy Baby was a great in store option if you need one!
Baby Bottles
Yes, glass is more expensive up front but it should last you much longer! And you don't have to worry so much about the plastic wearing down, micro plastics etc. My Target had great glass bottle sets by Dr Browns and Phillips.
Sunscreen
Pipette baby sunscreen stick was an awesome price! And honestly, I love the stick convenience for a baby or toddler. It makes is so much easier to swipe across them instead of rubbing in cream.
